IVECCS 2022 is approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) through the Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) approval program. The AAVSB’s RACE program develops and applies uniform standards for veterinary medicine continuing education. By ensuring all RACE-approved continuing education programs meet appropriate standards of quality, you are assured that participating in a RACE-approved course will help you meet your license and credential continuing education requirements. AAVSB utilizes RACEtrack, a free service that allows veterinary professionals the chance to record all continuing education (CE) coursework in a single centralized database. IVECCS encourages any licensed or credentialed veterinary professional to create a free RACEtrack account to record and track continuing education credits earned at IVECCS. Click here to create your AAVSB RACEtrack account.
CE credits earned at IVECCS will be reported in two separate categories, whether you are attending in-person or virtually. Attendees will receive two certificates of attendance by email shortly after the conference. One certificate will be for sessions attended in-person or live-streamed and a separate certificate for sessions viewed on-demand. Attendees will be able to view their earned credits through their RACEtrack account in the weeks following the conference. Neither certificate will include total CE hours and is intended for self-reporting purposes. It is the attendee’s responsibility to keep a log of attended sessions and whether they attended in-person/live-stream or on-demand. VECCS will not provide transcripts of attended sessions, so it is recommended that attendees utilize the session log found at the back of the IVECCS program or the downloadable version here.
In-Person/Live-Streamed Sessions:
To receive CE Credit, in-person attendees are responsible for scanning themselves into each session using the QR code on their badge. iPad scanners will be stationed outside of each room, so attendees must be sure to scan their badge as they enter each session room. In-person attendees will be able to view which sessions they have been scanned into in real time at the show in their registration portal. This link can be found in the registration confirmation email. Once in the portal, scroll down to the very bottom and on the left-hand side is a section called “Session Attendance”. If you have questions regarding your scans, please visit us on-site at the CE Help Desk (located through the Hall of Statues near room 208). Virtual attendance of the live-streamed sessions will be monitored by VECCS, and CE credit will only be received by those who attend the session in its entirety.
CE Desk Hours:
Wednesday – 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Thursday – 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday – 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday – 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday – 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM
On-Demand Sessions:
To receive CE credit for any sessions viewed on-demand, attendees must complete and pass the quiz at the end of each session. On-demand sessions will be available through October 11th, 2022. VECCS will then compile the results of the quizzes for a max total of 86 CE credits and report these totals to the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). Attendees will be able to view their earned credits through their RACEtrack account in the weeks following the conference.
